We began as a dissenting voice in Baptist life more than 25 years ago. For more than 20 years we have affirmed the call and ordination of women in ministry and the full acceptance and embrace of the LGBT community. Today we are the many voices of progressive Christians seeking to respond to the continuing call of God in a rapidly changing world.

With about 3000 individuals, 150 endorsed chaplains and pastoral counselors, 29 local and global mission partners, 2 theology schools and 140 congregation partners the Alliance is committed to ecumenism, partnership in mission, radical hospitality, and social justice.

Part of the Alliance's vision is to become a more missional people with partnership as our working model—domestically and internationally, ecumenically and in interfaith relations, and in our public witness to peace with justice—to the end that we will be intentional about our possibilities for service in and to the world around us.

The Alliance fulfills this vision in through our relationships with the Bridges of Hope 28 domestic and international partners. Our goal in 2012 is to raise $100,000 to support the new and ongoing work of:
